Biographical history
William Peter Olcott Whitwell received his M.D., C.M. from McGill in 1860. The son of a clergyman, he resided and practiced in Philipsburg, QC.

Scope and content
Fonds contains Whitwell's notebooks at McGill on lectures in Physiology, Pathology, Materia Medica, Practice of Medicine and Surgery. The lecturers include Drs. W. Fraser, W. Wright, A.F. Holmes and G.W. Campbell. The fonds includes six notebooks.
