Arthur Vaughn Forster Vibert was born on August 6, 1861, in Gaspé, Quebec.

He was a wholesale dry goods salesman in Quebec in the 1890s. He moved to Denver, Colorado, in 1902 and became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1943. He worked as a salesman in the woollen goods industry - wholesale and manufacturing, in Los Angeles and was a member of the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce in the 1920s.

In 1898, he married Deborah Van Tuyl Tooker (1873–1940). He died on March 26, 1952, in Los Angeles, California.
