Publishers will never get volumes IV, V, VI out by January 1st. Asks him if there is any date set for his wedding. He hopes to sail September 4th. Detailed explanations on the Gordon Holmes affair. They were corresponding with his homonyme, an aurist in North London. He will have to pay the latter. This is all Miss Nichols's mistake. Mentions that the invasion (visitors) is in full swing. Love to Welch and all the boys.
