Letter to Campbell Palmer Howard, February 6, 1915

Letter to Campbell Palmer Howard from William Osler, 13, Norham Gardens, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England. Allusion to a flattering offer he received. He has two objections : first, if it is only academic he would hesitate, and second, he does not like J. B. Murphy personally. Maybe it is because he does not know him well. Would like to talk about it with him on Wednesday. Would prefer to see him in Montreal with a good clinic at one of the McGill Hospitals. Mentions that he had hoped to talk with Peterson about it, but the latter has not come over. Mentions that Revere is worrying about whether his job is the right one or not. He feels that he is not earning his salt. Osler dares say he is an awful duffer. Civilities.
