(on the election of the Professor of Pathology at Oxford) In spite of limitations due to tendency to be more a bacteriologist than a pathologist, Dreyer is a good choice. He is congenial, speaks English very well, he is a stimulating teacher. Mention that all of Bartholomew's men, Garrod, Church and others are disappointed that Andrews did not get it. Welch told him privately that Rockefeller will not do anything else for McGill at present towards the buildings, but will make endowment for research later.
