Letter to John Young Walker MacAlister from William Osler, From the Regius Professor of Medicine, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England. He has written to Tomes and to Brown of Preston, and to the man who is supposed to keep the purse of the Draper's Company. Will try to approach some others. Thinks that Strathcona will give something. Asks him to send a descriptive booklet to John McFadden, and put his compliments inside. Suggests to look for the descendants of some of old worthies connected with the Medical Chirurgical or other societies. Wonders who are the heirs of Robert Barnes. Would suggest they fit up a Robert Barnes' room. Family vanity is a powerful lever which Mitchell has used with advantage in Philadelphia.
Osler, William, Sir, 1849-1919
