Letter to Herbert Stanley Birkett from William Osler, 13, Norham Gardens, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England. Delighted that the McGill Unit has been accepted. If he gets into a typhoid district, he will come as a Super-Colonel and Campbell's Assistant. Thanks him for offering to take Revere as his orderly. Asks him to let him know if it would be worth while speaking to Keogh. Mentions that there has been great slackness during the past month. They have not been pressed in Oxford not at the American Hospital. It has been hard for the soldiers at the Salisbury Camp because or the rain and the mud. Finley and Ellis has been there. They have brought cerebro-spinal meningitis of which there have been about 30 cases. Civilities.
Osler, William, Sir, 1849-1919
