One of the letters refers to Baltimore meteorological. Will send it to the Faculty Library. Mention of his 1588 Leyden diploma and a 17th century Russian and other books, (Princips of Mondino). Cushing has made a good haul too. Payne books may be sold unless Marburgh raises his figure. Muller is coming next week from Munich. Lizzie Linzee, Mrs. McCagg, the 3 Weld girls are here, Dock comes next week. The examinations will begin. Mentions his future acquisition. Welch wrote him about the JHH proposal. Discussion over the salaries that are suitable (whole time clinical professors). Comparison to other places. It will double the salary out of the private patients attracted to the individual men.
