Biographical history
Jean Baptiste Roussel was born 24 September 1737 in Charlevoix, QC. He was the son of Joseph Francois Roussel and Marie Madeleine Gauvreau. On 4 February 1765, he married Catherine Briquet-Lefebvre. She died in 1772, and he remarried to Marie-Anne Soumande on 7 January 1773. He had six children, three with each of his wives. He died in 1794.
