Ford Cushing Smith Collection

The collection consists of 92 black and white photographs, mounted on black paper, depicting the construction of the dry dock in Lauzon, Quebec, from 1917 to 1923. It also includes a diary written by Ford Cushing Smith in 1922, which details activities related to the dry dock at Lauzon, and an accompanying typewritten letter from I. D. Macorquodale, Eng., explaining the donation in detail.

F. R. Scott Collection

The F.R. Scott Collection contains documents pertaining to many differents aspects of F.R. Scott's life and career. His early political involvement in CCF (Co-operative Commonwealth Federation, the political party at the origin of the creation of the federal New Democratic Party [NDP]) constitutes one series; his interest in poetry another one. Also some important legal actions are documented here about language and education rights in Quebec schools. The last series contains more personal items probably gathered for an official commemorative service: tributes, press clippings. Includes F.R. Scott's passport for Montreal's Expo 1967.

The collection consists of an illustrated and annotated edition of a monograph titled "The English Cathedral of Quebec, read before the Literary and Historical Society, Quebec, 10th March, 1891," an ordinary copy of the monograph, various documents, black and white photographs of both the cathedral's exterior and interior, as well as portraits of its bishops and canons. The collection also features newspaper clippings related to the history of the cathedral and church discussions, published by the Literary and Historical Society of Quebec and various local newspapers, along with handwritten memos concerning church disputes. It includes an original watercolour drawing of the diocese's coat of arms, ordered by the first Lord Bishop, Dr. Jacob Mountain.

The collection consists of ephemera, artifacts, and publications related chiefly to the Expo 67 World Fair in Montreal and some documents relating to its continuation, Man and His World (Terre des Hommes), an exhibition that was the successor to Expo 67. Many of the records and artifacts were produced by participant countries and sponsors or by the Canadian Corporation for the 1967 World Exhibition. Ephemera includes postcards, visitor passports, and ticket stubs, while other textual documents include guidebooks, magazines, catalogues, books, clippings, information manuals, and some unpublished planning documents. Artifacts include license plates, vinyl records, letter opener, bottle caps, shopping bags, and pins. The collection features pamphlets and brochures for numerous pavilions, events, services, and countries featured, as well as many maps for the Expo 67 grounds and documents related to subsequent seasons of Man and His World.
