Collection contains two manuscript summonses regarding "An Act to Consolidate and Amend the Laws Relating to the Trial of Controverted Elections or Returns of Members to Serve in Parliament." The first one is dated March 6, 1838, and the second addresses a petition from Geo. B. Matthew, Esq., Wm. Swayne, and Edw. Godwin, who are electors expressing concerns about an unfair election and return for the Borough of Shaftsbury. This second summon is dated March 10, 1838.

Contains a handwritten copy of J. G. Wood's article titled "Unintentional cruelty," which addresses the treatment and management of horses, published posthumously, and which appeared in "Social Notes." Includes a portrait of the author on the title page.

Fonds contains "The journal of an English lady; or letters descriptive of the continent during the years 1829 and 1830" to which have been added water-colour illustrations by the author.

The collection consists primarily of recordings on audio cassette of beginner-level language lessons in Ojibwa, Cree, and Inuktitut; authored variously by Basil Johnston, S.T. Mallon et al., C. Douglas Ellis et al., and Louis-Philippe Vaillancourt. The majority of the included material dates from the 1970s. The accompanying language learning texts for the Ojibwa and Inuktitut audiocassettes are included in the collection, along with duplicate recordings of 35 of the Cree audiocassettes on 25 compact discs. The collection also contains a recording of the 1995 CBC Calgary radio program "Voices of the First Nations : The Prairies."

Fonds contains forty-three letters to Casey A. Wood from Howland Wood describing the Gampala Larin hoard and the finding coins in Ceylon, 1929-1934.

This collection consists of letters to Sir James Craig and others on the subject of Lower Canada, 1810-1815.

The greater portion of this material relates to his political activity, including electoral lists for Montréal and notes on qualifications of voters, ca 1895, as well as a Volunteer Electoral League notebook, 1895-1900. His daily journal covers the periods from 1899-1909 and from 1912-1915. Financial notebooks, dated 1897 to 1910, are also included.

This fonds consists of professional correspondence and some business documents related to Henry Watts & Co, a company that sold land in Alberta to interested people in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area. The correspondence includes both external correspondence with clients and internal communication, between employees of Henry Watts & Co as well as employees of Leighton and Gilbert (agents of the Canadian Pacific Irrigation Colonization Company), to whom they were contracted. The internal correspondence includes lists of potential buyers, discussions of plans to recruit more buyers, organizational details for excursions to Alberta to show buyers available land, sales updates, accounting information, changes in legislation that affect the sale of land, and letters documenting hiring. The external correspondence mostly consists of letters from customers seeking information about purchasing land in Canada (especially Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba) or who were interested in visiting available land for sale, with responses containing information about available land, upcoming excursions and about farming in Alberta at this time, including recommendations of profitable crops and farming methods.
