The collection consists of two letters written by Henry F. Perley, the Chief Engineer of Public Works, on January 18, 1886, and January 28, 1886, in Ottawa, addressed to Antoine Gobeil, Esq., Deputy Minister of Public Works of the Dominion of Canada. The first letter details the findings of an examination conducted by Perley on the ongoing construction of the Graving Dock at Esquimalt, B.C. The second letter informs Gobeil of the Hon. Minister's approval of the report.

Collection contains a manuscript letter from Henry Lyman to his wife, Mary, in Granby; dated July 25, 1849, when the druggist shop Wm. Lyman & Co. was located at 194 and 196 St. Paul St. in Montreal, the letter deals principally with the cholera epidemic in the city.

This collection reflects Henry S. Chapman's relationships with a number of important figures in Montreal's political and business history, between roughly 1833 and 1853, the period following Chapman's return to London. A significant amount of the material in this collection is related to the 1837-1838 Upper and Lower Canada Rebellions (especially in Montreal), as well as events occurring immediately after the uprisings.

Significant correspondents include Louis-Joseph Papineau, Louis-Hippolyte La Fontaine, Jacob Dewitt, François-Antoine Larocque (of Laroque and Bernard), Joseph Perreault, and Edmund Bailey O’Callaghan. There is also a partial manuscript on Canadian history and pages from a scrapbook, both dating from the 1830s.

This collection is composed of McGill memorabilia collected by Ian C. Pilarczyk between 2000 and 2018, and includes articles, news clippings, programs (mostly football), pamphlets, photographs, objects (such as pins, buttons, medals, ribbons, humidors, spoons), addresses, medical notebooks, LPs and prints.

The collection consists primarily of recordings on audio cassette of beginner-level language lessons in Ojibwa, Cree, and Inuktitut; authored variously by Basil Johnston, S.T. Mallon et al., C. Douglas Ellis et al., and Louis-Philippe Vaillancourt. The majority of the included material dates from the 1970s. The accompanying language learning texts for the Ojibwa and Inuktitut audiocassettes are included in the collection, along with duplicate recordings of 35 of the Cree audiocassettes on 25 compact discs. The collection contains W.W. Francis memorabilia: an obituary notice, reprints with notes from W.W. Francis to Miss Anderson, a copy of a photograph of Francis with Osler, a program of an annual meeting of the Medical Library Association and a letter from Francis to Miss Anderson.

The collection contains three volumes of manuscripts from an anonymous student of the course of lectures on midwifery by Dr. Thomas Young, dating from 1783. The first volume has three inserts: two pencil portraits of unidentified men and an envelope on which is written a note to Dr. J.A.S. Brunelle. The collection is divided in three file folders.
