Fonds contains the admission cards of R.T.E. Macdonald for his complete studies in Medicine at McGill, 1878-1881. The fonds includes admission cards, a receipt, certificates and some notes from W.W. Francis.

The fonds contains one prescription book of Dr. Robert Todd Reynolds, with some clippings of medical drawings in the back; 3 pages of the Reynolds' family genealogy record and one page of an article "The Ancestral Roof: Domestic Architecture in Upper Canada" and a photo of the house, indicating the relationship between James McGill des Rivières and the Reynolds family; 4 of R. T. Reynolds' Diplomas, one from McGill.

Photocopies of typed transrcripts of O'Brian's letters to his family during his years at McGill describe student life and amusements, as well as the perennial theme of lack of funds.

The private and business papers of Reid include correspondence, design layouts of typographical productions, financial records, lecture notes and photographs. Among his correspondents are William Carter, Carl Dair, Dora Hood, W. Kaye Lamb, Beverley Blackmore Leech, Richard Pennington, Gustav Reuter, R.D. Hilton Smith, Roderick D. Steinhour and Takao Tanabe.

Fonds consists of personal letters between Howard family members and close relations (C. P. Howard, William Osler, Grace Osler, the Wright family etc.). Subjects range from wedding engagement congratulations for C. P. Howard and Otillie Wright, personal introductions from Grace Osler, to professional appointment letters. There are original photographs (as well as a few copies) of candid Osler family moments, formal family portraits, hospital photos of Osler at work, as well as several professional portraits of William Osler by prominent Montreal photographers. The fonds also includes miscellaneous reprints, booklets, and various other publication materials such as R. P. Howard's valedictory addresses to several graduating classes, personal copies of medical case studies, Olser's handwritten medical notes from 1875-1878, as well as original caricature sketches by Edward Revere Osler. In addition, there is a small photo album (in its own presentation box) with John Hopkins Hospital staff portraits (names included) from 1902-1903. The photo album is stamped "C.P.H." on the front cover.\nIncluded in the fonds are the following books: The Holy Bible (Oxford, 1912), The Poems of Edgar Allan Poe (Diamond Edition, New York, 1881), and Robert Bridges The Spirit of Man (Longmans Green and Co., London, 1916).

This appointment of Robert M. Watson as Second Lieutenant in the Brockville Artillery Company is signed by Sir George Arthur, Lieutenant-Governor of Upper Canada.

Fonds shows Robert Howard's activities as a medical student in 1871. It contains his lecture notes of the course on diseases of the lungs, heart and kidneys given at McGill University

This archive consists largely of Ruttan's notes on general pathology and physiology lectures given by William Osler as well as a second series of notes on physiology, 1881-1882.

The Robert Fortuine fonds consists of Fortuine’s diaries for the period August 1956 to January 1962. The first eight volumes cover his four years spent in Medical School at McGill; the two additional volumes deal with a year of internship and a residency programme working for the United States Public Health Service on a First Nation Reservation in North Dakota. The final diary (Volume 10) ends after the first few months of his posting to North Dakota.

While the diaries offer a very detailed picture of medical studies at McGill, many of the entries deal with more philosophical matters.
