        Thomas Henry Ince was born on April 25, 1827, in Queen's County, Ireland.

        He was a barrister, a part of a law firm Ince & Hannah in Toronto, Ontario. He held a patent "Certain new and useful improvements in Shoeing Horses" in 1865.

        In 1852, he married Maria Simpson (1832–1910). He died on January 24, 1897, in York, Ontario.
