    Biographical history

    George Manson Fisk was born in Montreal and educated at the McGill University School of Architecture from 1925 until 1930. In the late 1920s Fisk worked as a draughtsman with the Montreal firm of Nobbs and Hyde. From 1949 to 1972 he worked for the Aluminum Company of Canada (later renamed Alcan Aluminum Limited) in their General Engineering Department.

    Custodial history

    The materials were formerly used as teaching aids in the McGill University School of Architecture.

    Scope and content

    "Architectural Drawings, 1930, 3 drawings." Included are student drawings of the Roman orders according to Vignola and of the New Sacristy of San Lorenzo in Florence.

    "Dessins architecturaux, 1930, 3 dessins." Notamment des dessins d'étudiant des Ordres romains selon Vignola ainsi que de la Nouvelle Sacristie de San Lorenzo à Florence.

      George Manson Fisk (b. 1907) was born in Montreal and educated at the McGill University School of Architecture from 1925 until 1930. Vers la fin des années 20, Fisk a travaillé comme dessinateur au cabinet montréalais de Nobbs et Hyde. De 1949 à 1972, il a travaillé pour l'Aluminum Company of Canada (devenue plus tard l'Alcan) au service d'ingénierie.
