• Architecture or other accommodations produced for or adapted to provide shelter and security for the basic physical functions of life for an individual, family, or clan and their dependents, human and animal. Among the functions provided for are a place to sleep, prepare food, eat, and sometimes to work, usually having a door, window, or other source of light and with protection from the weather.

• Annual publications by schools that provide information and often photographs relating to activities and the students at the school during the previous year.

• Original and entire drafts or transcripts of musical compositions or arrangements, with the parts of all the different instruments or voices written on staffs one above another, so that they can be read at a glance.

• Blank books or albums designed so that a variety of items may be affixed to the pages, including photographs, clippings, and other memorabilia.

• Rough or summary art works; less finished than studies. Though sketches are often in the drawing medium, the term "drawings" in general implies more finished works than does "sketches."

• The thin, flat pieces of glass on which specimens are mounted for the purpose of microscopic examination.
