        History

        William Tees Curran was a mining promoter, prospector, former President of the Ungava Miners & Traders Limited, and author. He worked alongside Harold A. Calkins and Horace F. Strong, whom were both McGill graduates. Curran was an elected Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, London on November 27th 1922.

        His published works include:
        -In Canada's wonderful northland; a story of eight months of travel by canoe, motorboat, and dog-team on t he northern rivers and along the New Quebec coast of Hudson bay - by Curran and H.A. Calkins (published by G.P. Putnam's Sons, 1917).
        -Glimpses of northern Canada: the land of hidden treasure - by Curran and Horace P. Adams (published in Montreal by Cambridge Corp, circa 1910).
