Christina Barbara Juncken was born on 7 March 1739 in Durlach, Germany to Johann Ernst Juncken and Christina Dorothea Juncken. In 1753, she migrated with her family to Philadelphia, where they settled. She married William Hall on 16 May 1761 in Philadelphia, and they moved together to Andover, Massachusetts. They had eight children together: a daughter who died in childhood and seven sons (Joseph, David, William, John, Benjamin, Henry, and Jacob). After the death of her husband in 1795, Christina Barbara's children began moving to Quebec City and Montreal. She joined them in Montreal in 1804 and she lived there until her death on 23 August 1817.
