Patrick McGillycuddy Stoker was born on December 25, 1920, in Canada.

A graduate of Selwyn House School, Bishop’s College School, and Upper Canada College, Paddy joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1942, during his studies of architecture at McGill University. He served overseas in the Yorkshire 6th Group bomber squadron. Returning to McGill, Paddy graduated in 1951 (B Arch) and went overseas for further study. He set up his architectural practice in 1952.

He died on July 5, 2014, in Quebec, Canada.

Rev. Charles Augustus Stoddard was born on May 28, 1833, in Boston, Massachusetts.

He was a Presbyterian clergyman and author. He was educated at Williams College (M.A., 1854; D.D., 1871), the University of Edinburgh, Free Church of Scotland Theological Seminary (1855-1856), and Graduate Theological Union Seminary (1859). He was ordained in 1859 and became pastor at Washington Heights Church, New York (1859-1883). Stoddard was the editor and part-owner of the New York Observer (1885-1902). He served as president of the New York Institution for the Instruction of the Deaf and Dumb and the American Seamen's Friend Society. He was vice-president of the American Foreign Christian Union and the American Tract Society. He also served as an Honorary Secretary of the Evangelical Alliance. Stoddard published numerous sermons, pamphlets, and books of his travels, e.g., “Across Russia from the Baltic to the Danube” (1891), “Spanish Cities, with Glimpses of Gibraltar and Tangier” (1892), “Beyond the Rockies” (1894), “A Spring Journey in California” (1895), and "Cruising Among the Caribbees" (1895, 1903).

In 1859, he married Mary Elizabeth Prime (1839–1917). He died on June 3, 1920, in New York City, New York.

F.H. Stockton was an assistant to Henry Leighton of Leighton & Gilbert in 1912.
