Tenenhouse, H. Susie

H. Susie Tenenhouse recieved B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in Biochemistry and was a Professor in the Department of Human Genetics and Pediatrics at McGill University. Tenenhouse joined the McGill Group in Medical Genetics as a research associate in 1972 and served as a core member from 1981 to 2004. She was the recipient of the C. P. Leblond Award of the Network for Oral and Bone Health Research in 2010.

He attended the Glasgow School of Architecture, graduating in 1927 with the Rutland Prize. Concurrent with his education he articled with Sir John J. Burnet, one of Scotland's leading figures of early modernism, and was appointed his assistant in 1927-29. He emigrated to Canada in 1929 and settled in Montreal where he joined the office of John S. Archibald (1929-32). He then moved to Ottawa to assist H. Gordon Hughes (1934-39) and was invited by him to form a partnership in 1939. In 1946, he joined the firm of Archibald & Illsley and became a partner in 1948.

He died on February 14 or 17, 1972. According to different sources, he died in Estoril, Portugal (Gazette obituary) or Scotland or Montreal, Quebec.
